Join us for a literary salon featuring an introduction by Dana Gioia, followed by a reading and conversation with Maggie Nelson, Solmaz Sharif, Graywolf director and publisher Carmen Giménez, and Graywolf editorial director Ethan Nosowsky. Appetizer and cocktail reception will take place prior to the program.

Dana Gioia
Dana Gioia is the author of six poetry collections, including Meet Me at the Lighthouse, 99 Poems: New and Selected, winner of the Poets’ Prize, and Interrogations at Noon, winner of the American Book Award. He served as Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, and he is the former Poet Laureate of California.
Maggie Nelson
Maggie Nelson is the author of several books of prose and poetry including Like Love, On Freedom, the National Book Critics Circle Award–winner The Argonauts, Bluets, and The Red Parts. She teaches at the University of Southern California and lives in Los Angeles.
Solmaz Sharif
Solmaz Sharif is the author of Customs, a finalist for the 2023 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, and Look, a finalist for the National Book Award and a New York Times Notable Book. She is currently the Shirley Shenker Assistant Professor of English at U.C. Berkeley.
